Holiday Inspired Florals & Decor

With the onset of the holiday season comes ubiquitous festive floral inspiration for all that’s to come this winter! Looking back at past events is also a great source of creative motivation, including some of my favorite white and red accented centerpieces. There is a multitude of ways to successfully execute holiday-inspired floral design, from classic white calla lily boutonnières to subtle greenery adornments to rich, red bouquets. Jovial florals are always a fantastic compliment to warm, festive gold table settings—let’s be honest, holiday centerpieces and layered tablescapes are absolutely captivating for winter weddings! Glowing candles and string lights embellished with white, green, and maroon arrangements help to create the perfect ambiance for a winter wonderland inspired event.

Real Wedding: Carol & Benny

Looking back on Carol and Benny’s timeless wedding day always brings a smile to my face—from the incredible décor to the diverse floral design to this sweet couple in love! The Vibiana provides a fantastic foundation for any vision, and Events by Evelynn did such an amazing job bringing Carol and Benny’s modern and simplistic aesthetic to life. This venue is breathtaking without décor, so bringing in custom designed live pepperberry trees and outdoor elements truly transformed the space into nothing short of a fairytale! Layering white calla lilies, hydrangeas, imported phalaenopsis orchids, peonies, and roses created a diverse yet crisp floral design for each table. Enjoy a gallery of some of my favorite shots from this memorable day below. Wishing these two a lifetime of happiness together!

Real Wedding: Stacey & Danny

Stacey and Danny’s Malibu wedding day sure was one for the record books, chock full of beautiful scenery, details, and florals! As always, it was a pleasure to work with the one and only Lynden Lane on this incredible occasion. For the ceremony, the naturally stunning setting called for a minimalistic floral-adorned arch, which was the perfect compliment for this sunny, blue-skied day. From cocktail hour to the reception, the floral design consisted of fresh lavender, white tulips, and incredible muted greenery for a garden fresh aesthetic. Lemons and artichokes were a fun addition to this table design, and great wooden rentals were the cherry on top of this al fresco reception. Enjoy some of my favorite shots from this stunning day below!

But, who’s to say we can’t reminisce on a gorgeous outdoor summer wedding at the Alcazar in Palm Springs? Real Wedding: Jordan & Bryan

Jordan and Bryan’s Sunstone Winery wedding day is always one of my favorites to look back on and reflect on such a love and floral-filled day! From the leis Jordan and Bryan wore in the ceremony to the gorgeous floral arrangements for the reception, this day was full of vibrant color. The turquoise linens were a fun foundation for the table design—since the bright hue set the tone for the tablecape, we opted for muted pink and cream florals to balance the palette. By dinnertime, decadent candlelight really brought everything to life! It was a memorable and stunning day, and I wish nothing but all the best for these two and their lives together.

As we approach the heart of wedding season, it felt only fitting to reflect on some of my all-time favorite career highlights. Layne and Jonathan’s wedding is near and dear to my heart, and I love looking back at the details from this gorgeous day. For the design aesthetic, we developed our vision around the beach-inspired Biltmore Santa Barbara. Soft cream-colored florals enveloped the entire venue—from the ceremony space to the reception venue. Sparkling chandeliers, rustic rentals, and luminous candlelight made this occasion one for the record books!

Father's Day

With Father’s Day approaching this weekend, I thought it only fitting to look back at past father moments. A father-child bond is so special, and especially on your wedding day, family plays such a big role. Reminiscing on some of the amazing weddings I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of, I’ve had a great time enjoying some of these special moments. Wishing everyone a love-filled weekend—especially on Sunday!

Mother's Day

In honor of Mother’s Day, I wanted to pull together some of my all-time favorite Mom moments. Your Mom is such an instrumental pillar of your wedding day, and in all honesty, it really is her day too! So, let’s all take a minute and appreciate the most important woman in our lives, Mom!

Important Floral Pieces

No two weddings are alike, and in most cases, neither are any two floral arrangements!

While there are always classic and timeless options to chose from—a dozen roses or cascading orchids, for example—unique floral pieces truly elevate any event. Adding greenery to your seating card table or compiling arrangements of varying height to your tablescape are just some of the many ways to diversify your space and make it shine. Or, add fresh sprigs and seasonal produce to place settings for an additional layer. Flower crowns are also always beautiful additions to your personal look as well! Important floral pieces are great ways to really bring an event aesthetic to life. Feel free to play with your arrangements, and have fun with your space.

Enjoy!

Atypical Bridal Bouquets & Groom Accessories

When it comes to floral accessories, it’s all about creating that extra something special. Whether it is an atypical bouquet for the bride or a floral lei for the groom, these distinctive pieces really add to the overall ceremony aesthetic. Weddings today revolve around attention to detail and personalization, and adding floral accessories is a fantastic way of achieving this criteria.

There are a multitude of ways to accessorize with florals, including unique bouquets. A one-of-a-kind bouquet can be a true statement piece—varying colors and textures, for example, can either tie together a bridal party color palette or accentuate a ceremony’s look and feel. Juxtaposing succulents with fresh florals projects a unique, garden-like look. Mixing in pops of greenery creates a beautiful, rustic look. You can even add decorative items, such as shells, to add texture and give off a tasteful, tropical look. Atypical bridal bouquets are a fantastic way of tying together the ceremony aesthetic in a subtle, yet sophisticated manner.

In terms of the groom, there are many ways to integrate florals. Feel free to play with your ceremony colors and create leis for the groom or groomsmen. This is a fun addition, and a great way to emulate the bridal party’s look and feel. Complementing florals for the groomsmen and bridal party also make for great photo opts!

Real Wedding: Alyse & Robbie

Alyse & Robbie’s wedding was nothing short of spectacular, and for a myriad of reasons. From the stunning boho design, to the whimsical floral arrangements, to the romantic ceremony, the couple shined with love and laughter throughout the day. In all honesty, Robbie said it best: “one piece of advice I'd give, and that I'm glad I did, is to take a step back a couple of times during the evening, and just look around and realize how special this is. Kinda like taking the blinders off so you can see the big picture.” And in regards to the actual pictures, take a peek at this beautiful day below.

Enjoy!

Alyse was the epitome of a blushing bride. Her background in fashion design came in handy when designing her wedding dress—which was nothing short of stunning. This long-sleeved gown really played into the boho wedding design, and made for great photo opts!

Robbie wrote the entire ceremony, and tailored it to the couple. The ceremony was all about intimacy, and upon reflection, it was the couple’s favorite part of the day. The wedding arch was beautifully draped in greenery, with small, soft floral accents. Boho arches are always in season, and definitely always in style.

These floral arrangements were all about texture. Pairing lush white flowers with soft seasonal blooms made for a great base, and adding pops of greenery really elevated each bouquet’s overall look.

And let’s not forget flower crowns! The adorable flower girls wore delicate floral crowns that really complimented the boho look once more.

You can really feel the love that flooded this ceremony. From the procession down the aisle to the first kiss, this ceremony was filled with closeness.

Say cheese! These post-ceremony shots definitely depict love and laughter. The navy bridesmaid dresses made for beautiful photo opts—and went well with the loose, rustic floral arrangements.

The reception was full of long wooden tables complete with rustic, yet elegant tablescapes. The place settings were simple and sophisticated, playing into a beautiful minimalist look that really elevated the floral centerpieces. Guests dined al fresco, and enjoyed the vineyard lawn and nighttime sky.
